Dragon’s Blood Stone is formed by a geological process involving high pressure and high temperatures. This process is known as metamorphism. The stone is therefore found in areas where, in the distant past, there was significant tectonic activity and the Earth’s crust was subjected to enormous geological forces. The stone is therefore often found alongside slate or basalt, a volcanic igneous rock formed by the solidification of lava.
