It\u2019s lovely to be at the start of a new year! I always find it so nice to let go of all that energy at the end of the year, to cleanse myself, so that I can start the new year feeling fresh and full of life. And when that new year begins, it\u2019s lovely to hold on to that fresh energy and let it flow. A bit of support never goes amiss! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To help you get started, in this blog I\u2019ll be sharing some tips on how to let go of the oppressive energy of the past year. Especially if you\u2019ve faced some setbacks this year or have been through a difficult period, it can be really helpful to use a little ritual to cleanse your energy and channel it back into the earth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cleansing and releasing heavy and negative energy<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Niet alleen bij de jaarwisseling is het fijn om oude energie los te laten, ook na een heftige gebeurtenis of periode kan dit heel helend voor je werken. Ik zorg wel maandelijks voor een energie ‘check-up’ maar zo aan het eind van het jaar vind ik het ook altijd wel erg fijn om er mee bezig te zijn. Even de gebeurtenissen van het afgelopen jaar doorlopen, even voelen wat ik los kan laten en niet meer nodig heb om dan met een ritueel het jaar af te sluiten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A cleansing bath<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I absolutely love spending time with the cleansing bath oil<\/a> to use. Don\u2019t have a bath? Then you can also use this product in a foot bath. Do you want to turn it into a proper ritual? If so, I\u2019ve got a few lovely tips for you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27bb First, clean your room with some loose Salie<\/a>, a Palo Santo<\/a> stick or a Smudge stick<\/a>. Use this for your own energy field too. By cleansing the space, you\u2019ll notice that the energy starts to feel different. It\u2019s actually lovely to do this once a month as well \u2013 cleansing your whole house and your own energy during the full moon. Wonderful!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u27bb Run your bath and add some crystals to it to infuse your bathwater with positive energy. I\u2019m a big fan of the Golden Triangle<\/a>! It\u2019s also a good idea to mix your bath oil with a few generous spoonfuls first Himalayan salt<\/a>. This, too, has a cleansing effect on the energy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27bb Make yourself a lovely cup of refreshing, cleansing tea \u2013 perhaps some green tea with eucalyptus and juniper berries. Have it ready so you can enjoy a lovely cup of tea whilst you\u2019re in the bath. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27bb Don\u2019t switch on the bright light in the bathroom; instead, light a few candles to create a cosy atmosphere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you begin the ritual, allow the old energy and events to wander through your thoughts for a moment. Try to see what you\u2019ve learnt from them and what they\u2019ve brought you. Set the intention to let go of the negative aspects of this energy and move forward with only the positive. Then slip into a lovely bath, grab a cup of tea and enjoy a moment of Zen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A handy tip: Turn a small battery case into a cleaning bomb ;). Put a layer of [... ] in a glass dish or jar Himalayan salt<\/a> or a crumb<\/a> hiervan. Druppel hier een paar druppeltjes Lord Saint Germain olie op en ga er eens naast staan. Je zal merken dat je helemaal verwarmt wordt door de ‘vlam’ en je voelt de oude energie van je af glijden. Zorg dat je alle kanten van je lichaam naast het bakje hebt gehad en zet het bakje ook even tussen je benen. Every year on 1 January, we sit round the table as a family to make our bucket lists. We put on some nice music and enjoy some lovely snacks and drinks. Everyone gets a sheet of paper and makes their own list of things they\u2019d like to do in the coming year. The lovely thing is that everyone does it in their own way. Some draw, whilst others write and decorate their words. By putting it down on paper, you express your deepest wishes and desires. This allows the universe to get to work for you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
