Angeliite is a form of blue anhydrite found in Peru. The stone was discovered relatively recently, in 1987. The name anhydrite comes from the Greek ‘anhydras’, meaning ‘without water’. This refers to the fact that angelite is a form of gypsum. All hydration has been completely lost, making it a stone without water. The stone can also absolutely not water-resistant!

The stone has a beautiful light blue colour with a white exterior. Blue angelite crystals have also been found. The Angelite is available in various product types.

We have taken our information about this beautiful stone from the comprehensive book ‘The Wisdom of Stones’ by Robert Simmons & Naisha Ahsian. Highly recommended if you’re interested in how stones work!

Angelite can help you connect with your guardian angels, spirit guides and other friends in the spiritual realm. The stone acts as a conduit for receiving love, guidance and help from the beings of higher realms that surround us. This makes it a wonderful stone for people who wish to develop their skills in spiritual attunement, channelling, mediumship, clairvoyance and spiritual healing. In fact, this stone is useful for anyone involved in spiritual matters. The stones radiate serene, benevolent energies that seek to help us.

The energy of angelite stimulates the third eye and crown chakras. It is a lovely stone to use during meditation, as it helps you enter and exit a meditative state more quickly. You can hold the stone in your hands, a soft cuddly stone is very beneficial. The stone can also be of great benefit to the throat chakra. It does not stimulate the chakra, but rather soothes it. As a result, the stone helps you choose your words more carefully and speak with compassion. For people with a sharp tongue, this is a good stone to help them speak more lovingly.

The frequency of Angelite has a very soothing effect on the emotional body and makes your life a little easier during difficult times. It is a stone of inner tranquillity. It evokes a sense of inner peace when you wear the stone on your body, for example by means of a health charm. The stone brings peace in situations where conflict or an overbearing ego are holding things back.
