This is 5 teaspoons.

For ceremonial use, increase the quantity to 20–25 grams for a deeper and more refined taste experience

Step 2: Choose the liquid and the quantity

Measure out 125 millilitres of plant-based milk. Choose almond, coconut or oat milk for a creamy texture, for everyday use.

Or opt for water for a lighter, less intense flavour.

Use 200 millilitres of plant-based milk or water for ceremonial purposes.

Step 3: Heat the liquid

Heat the chosen liquid in a saucepan over a low heat until it reaches a temperature of approximately 70 degrees Celsius. This ensures that the cocoa powder dissolves properly and the flavours blend together.

Step 4: Blend until you achieve a creamy texture

Use our milk frother to whisk your drink until it’s creamy and frothy. This adds a lovely texture to your hot chocolate.

Tip: Some of our cocoa blends are a bit thicker than others; if you don’t like this, you can thin it out a little with water or (plant-based) milk until it reaches the right consistency.

You can find more information about Kakaw Spirit’s products here

“Cacao Naturel”

The story begins with a deep passion for the rich tradition and spiritual value of cocoa.
