Dalmatian Jasper, also known as Dalmatian Stone, takes its name from its striking appearance. The stone has a beige to cream-coloured base with black spots, which are strongly reminiscent of a Dalmatian dog\u2019s coat. Despite its name, it is not technically a true jasper. It is rather a combination of feldspar and quartz, with inclusions of tourmaline or arfvedsonite. Nevertheless, many people classify the stone as part of the jasper family because of its energetic properties. Most Dalmatian Jasper comes from Mexico, where it is mined on a large scale.<\/p>\n
