Rosewood essential oil has a warm, gentle and slightly floral-woody scent that immediately evokes a sense of harmony and balance. The oil is extracted from the wood of the Aniba rosaeodora, a tree native to the Amazon region.

The aroma combines the warmth of wood with a subtle rose-like sweetness. This gives the fragrance a feeling that is both grounding and heart-opening. The wood is carefully processed and transformed through steam distillation into an oil with a gentle, rounded and harmonising effect.

Rosewood feels like a bridge between the mind and the heart. Its scent helps you to relax and unwind, whilst remaining clear-headed and present.

Use rosewood for special occasions; the wood is felled in the rainforests and is becoming scarce. Personally, I only use the oil when I really can’t think of any other alternative.

The Rosewood type is someone who overreacts quickly when things go wrong in life; this can even lead to hysterical outbursts. With Rozenhout, a heated temper can be calmed and settle into a state of tranquillity and gentleness. This type will need to learn to express their emotions more readily so that they no longer have to lose their temper.

When combined with bergamot and lemon, rosewood makes a wonderful trio for mental clarity and a cheerful outlook on life. Rosewood helps you to fulfil your intention to strengthen your connection with Spirit and, in doing so, to enhance your psychic abilities. Rosewood helps you to remember that you yourself carry a spark of the divine within you and that you can create whatever you wish. Affirmatie: “Ik ben zacht en liefdevol naar mezelf en mijn omgeving”

Rosewood certainly does have some physical applications, but there are good alternatives available for this oil. Given the vulnerable state of the rainforest where this tree originates, it is better not to use this oil for physical applications.

Bergamot Reggio, Lemon, Lavender, Orange, Mandarin, Sandalwood, Palmarosa, Geranium.

Solar Plexus, Heart

Citrine, Golden topaz, Kunzite, Lepidolite, Sunstone

None known under normal use.

Are you interested in using essential oils and looking for more information?
