Description

Wintergreen essential oil has a fresh, minty and slightly sweet scent with an invigorating undertone. The oil is extracted from the leaves of the Gaultheria procumbens, a small shrub that grows in cool forests in North America.

The aroma is invigorating and uplifting, and clears the mind. Wintergreen boosts energy and makes the room feel bright and lively. Steam distillation of the leaves fully captures its fresh, minty character.

View of humanity

The Wintergreen type is someone who is weighed down by a great many emotions and does not know exactly where they come from. They lie deeply buried in the subconscious. To avoid facing up to the cause of these emotions, the body has adopted this survival mechanism. Because the Wintergreen type has to work hard to maintain all this, they are very rigid and controlling. Under no circumstances do they want to lose that control or face up to their emotions. At some point, this type of person must let go of their fear and face the cause of their emotions. You can easily order Wintergreen oil from De Groene Linde.

Mental

Wintergreen oil is suitable for mental sluggishness and rigidity. Because of this rigidity, it is no longer possible to accept other people’s world views, and one may even find oneself judging them. Wintergreen will help you loosen this rigidity and allow you to be free once more in your thoughts, actions and emotions. The essential oil Wintergreen helps you to clear your mind and put a stop to negative thoughts.

Spiritual

Wintergreen helps you to process and let go of your own and your family’s karma. It is a lovely oil to use in a practice where spiritual healing takes place. It helps to cleanse and dispel the energy that has been released. It breaks through energetic blockages that have accumulated in the body. It is therefore a lovely oil to use if you encounter energetic blockages whilst doing bodywork, such as massages. This oil is associated with Lord St Germain (clearing away everything that is no longer needed) and Archangel Raphael, who represents healing.
