Workshop: Working with Singing Bowls

In this Singing Bowl workshop by Jessica Vogel You’ll be introduced to the extraordinary world of sound and vibration. You’ll learn the basics about the tradition, the use and the playing of singing bowls. We’ll focus on how to hold, strike and tighten the bowl, and explore the connection between sound, vibration and the seven main chakras. You’ll also be introduced to working with mantras and intention, and learn how to use singing bowls for singing bowl massage and deep relaxation.
We are reflecting on the Buddhist tradition and the role of mantras, invocations and intention in working with sound. You will also develop an intuitive way of working. You will receive practical tips and guidance to help you work with the singing bowls with ever-greater freedom and to learn to work from your intuition freewheeling.
The workshop is primarily practical and experience-based. You’ll have the opportunity to practise with different singing bowls yourself and discover how each bowl has its own sound and character. In this way, you’ll not only develop basic technical skills, but also a feel for the sound and for what it can bring at different moments.
Who is it for? Whether you’re new to singing bowls, want to start using them at home, wish to learn how to give a singing bowl massage, or want to build on your existing experience: this workshop offers a solid foundation, practical guidance and the space to discover your own way of working with sound.
Includes a comprehensive syllabus, coffee, tea and treats. Do remember to bring your own lunch!
