Which scent suits your pet?
Dieren reageren vaak heel direct op geur. Daarom werken onze blends niet vanuit "meer is beter", maar vanuit afstemmen. Het ene dier heeft behoefte aan een rustige, aardende sfeer tijdens reizen, onweer of een nieuwe omgeving. Een ander dier vraagt juist om een zacht ritueel rond wennen, alleen thuis oefenen of het opbouwen van vertrouwen.

Geurolie is een brede term. Daaronder vallen zowel synthetische parfumoliën als natuurlijke oliën. Voor dieren is het verschil tussen etherische olie en geurolie belangrijk. Bij De Groene Linde werk je met blends op basis van 100% natuurlijke etherische oliën en geurfrequenties, niet met zware kunstmatige parfumnoten. Dat past beter bij een bewuste, subtiele geurbeleving.

How to use scents responsibly around animals
Animals have a much more sensitive sense of smell than we do. What smells mild to you can easily be overpowering to a dog or cat. The same applies to
Aromatherapy for dogs. That is why less is almost always better. It is best to use essential oils for animals for short periods, in small quantities and in a way that allows your pet to choose whether to come closer or keep its distance. - Start small and always introduce a scent gradually.
- Only use a diffuser in a well-ventilated room and do not leave it on for hours on end.
- Make sure your pet can leave the room.
- Do not apply undiluted essential oil directly to the coat, skin, muzzle, ears or around the eyes.
- Always follow the instructions on the label and only dilute the product if it is intended for that purpose.
- Never take oils internally and keep bottles out of reach.
Would you like to use fragrance in a gentle way? In that case, indirect use is often best: a short diffuser session, a drop on a cloth out of direct reach, or a personal ritual following the product’s instructions for use. While using the fragrance, watch out for signs such as turning away, sneezing, restlessness, yawning or, conversely, approaching in a relaxed manner. Your pet will often show you the way. If symptoms persist, if your pet is known to be sensitive, or if you have any doubts, it is always wise to consult your vet or an expert. Extra care is important when it comes to cats
Katten reageren vaak gevoeliger op etherische olie dan honden. Kies bij katten daarom altijd voor indirect gebruik, een zeer subtiele dosering en voldoende ventilatie. Laat een kat nooit verplicht in een ruimte met geur blijven en breng geen pure olie rechtstreeks aan op de vacht.
