If scent frequencies work so well for people, you’d think animals might benefit from them too – and you’d be absolutely right! However, it’s important to bear in mind how animals react to essential oils. Smaller animals such as cats, birds and rodents cannot process these naturally occurring chemicals very well, so you need to be careful about what you use and how you use it. That’s why we’ve put together this informative blog, so that you can use essential oils on your four-legged friend with complete peace of mind. With large livestock, dogs and horses, you can use the right oils effectively and in many different ways.
We were increasingly being asked whether we had anything for animals as well. That’s why, in 2021, we Bella’s Cure Developed: wonderful scent frequencies specially designed for animals. When creating these blends, careful consideration was given to what animals can cope with, and they are tailored to common issues that pet owners face.
Animals react very instinctively, without judgement; they simply sense what’s right for them. It’s so lovely to see a dog in the shop choosing its own scent frequency. And it’s always spot on! You often notice the effect very quickly.
We’ve already received lots of lovely feedback from satisfied pet owners, and professionals such as behaviourists also enjoy working with these special oils.
Just like us humans, animals also have an energetic body. And just as scent frequencies affect that energetic body in humans, they do the same in animals. The energetic body consists of the aura and the chakras, and blockages can arise within these, resulting in certain behaviours. Blockages can be caused by traumatic events, stress and unresolved emotions. As this system governs the flow of energy, an animal can really suffer as a result. By working within the animal’s energy field, blockages can be ‘vibrated loose’, allowing the animal to relax and return to its natural, authentic behaviour.

Bella’s Cure has been specially developed for dogs and horses. The formula has been designed to include essential oils that these animals can easily metabolise. Do take care with cats, however. Make sure the oil does not get onto their coat or that they cannot lick it up. This is because cats are unable to break down the chemical components of essential oils. Do you use a diffuser? That’s fine, but do make sure your cat can always get away if the scent becomes too intense.
The Bella’s Cure range consists of essential oil blends. A spray version has deliberately not been developed, as sprays are formulated using cosmetic alcohol. This is neither pleasant nor suitable for animals. The oil itself can be used in many different ways.
We’ve already had several dog owners in the shop who’ve encountered behavioural problems with their dogs. Often, the dog would be waiting outside, but would then spontaneously receive treatment with a scent frequency from Bella’s Cure.
Dogs with behavioural problems, such as strong reactions to other people, anxious behaviour, submissiveness towards other dogs, or excessive barking or whining when their owners are away, can be supported naturally with these blends. We also regularly receive enquiries about behavioural problems in horses.
Problems of this sort often stem from something. Think of a dog adopted from abroad, an orphaned dog, or a rescue dog that has been abandoned by its previous owner. Or a horse that has been mistreated in the past. These experiences can cause their trust in people to disappear completely. Each and every one of these is a trauma that creates blockages in the energetic body, resulting in undesirable behaviour.
The Bella’s Cure fragrance range works on that energy body. By working within the animal’s energy field, blockages can be ‘vibrated loose’, allowing the animal to relax. Undesirable behaviour may then diminish or even disappear after just a few treatments.
Situations such as a visit to the vet, thunderstorms or fireworks can also be times when many animals react with fear. In such cases, you can also use these scent frequencies to help reduce their anxiety.

Sometimes it’s already clear where the unwanted behaviour comes from. Perhaps you’re simply looking for a scent frequency that makes your dog a little less anxious about a visit to the vet, or something that helps your horse cope with the sound of fireworks.
Do you find it difficult to pinpoint exactly where the anxiety is coming from, and do you feel as though there is a blockage caused by a past trauma? If so, you might be able to make a good choice based on the descriptions of the various blends.
Do you have several blends from this range at home? Then let your pet choose for itself. Pets have a keen sense of what they need, and their choice is usually spot on. Place the different bottles in the room and let your pet have a go.
There are various ways to use the oil. We achieve the best results by giving the animal an energy treatment. It might sound complicated, but it really isn’t!
⇢ Rub a single drop of your chosen blend between your hands until it’s warm. Now imagine you’re wearing glowing oven gloves. Stroke the animal with your hands just above its body, from its head towards its tail, and then down along its legs. Then tap the ground briefly, so that the energy you’ve swept away can flow out through the ground. Repeat this a few times, keeping your hands slightly higher above the animal each time.
When you’re ready, stroke one more time from front to back, all the way down to the ground. Let your animal guide you. If they don’t want to, or if they’ve had enough (for example, if they turn away or simply walk away from you), respect that and stop. You’ll see: next time, your animal will probably stay longer.
Sometimes an animal will yawn widely; this is a sign that it is releasing unwanted energy. Some animals will also deliberately turn towards you to show you where you should place your hands. Gently place your hands on that spot and direct your energy there.
⇢ Rub a tiny drop of oil under your dog’s paws. This is a lovely way to introduce the frequency into the dog’s system.
⇢ Place a drop between your thumb and index finger and gently massage your pet’s ear tips with it.
⇢ Place the bottle under your dog’s basket so that the frequency can take effect. Do make sure your dog cannot reach the bottle. Often, the cover of the basket is removable, and you can ‘hide’ the bottle inside it.
⇢ Hang a bottle in your horse’s stable, somewhere he can’t reach it. That way, the frequency can work its magic undisturbed in the stable.
⇢ Use a diffuser in the stable to disperse the scent frequency. And of course, you can also use one at home, so that the frequency can have an effect on you and your pets there too.
I hope that reading our blog will help you look after your pet. Do you have any questions? Please feel free to email or ring us.
And if you live near Heiloo… You’re always welcome to come and try out the scents with your dog. Bringing a horse along is a bit trickier 😉, so it’s best to give us a quick ring!
