Shiva’s Eye

What a sight! Shiva’s Eye is a unique and beautiful gemstone formed by a seashell and composed of calcium carbonate. It is a reference to the third eye of the god Shiva. Shiva’s Eye shells are characterised by a spiral-shaped curl and are found in Thailand, India, Indonesia and Australia, amongst other places. It is a part of the opening of the Tulband shell, which serves as protection. Shiva’s Eye therefore symbolises protection. It is said to ward off negative energies and attract prosperity. This beautiful stone is therefore often worn as jewellery to provide protection.
