Scallop shell with haematite grid

Spiritually speaking, the scallop shell symbolises purification, protection and following your own path in life. The shell comes from the sea and thus carries the energy and symbolism of the element of Water. The characteristic lines radiating outwards from the centre are seen as a symbol of movement, growth and connection.

Haematite adds a strong grounding energy to this. In the world of crystals, we use this stone for grounding, stability and to bring energy back to its source. This grid of haematite in the shell provides a lovely place to lay crystals after use. This allows them to discharge their energy.

You can think of it as a combination of Water and Earth. The shell symbolises flow, purification and letting go, whilst Hematite provides grounding and stability. By placing your crystals in the shell on the haematite grid, you create a mindful moment in which you can let the stones rest for a while and symbolically release the energy they have absorbed whilst in use.

A lovely ritual: Place your crystals on the haematite grid and take a moment to consciously state your intention that everything that no longer belongs to the stone may be released. Then leave the stones to rest overnight before charging them in the light of the full moon or on a Rock Crystal Cradle.
