Singing bowl, 13 cm

Singing bowls naturally produce sound, but what really matters is the vibration. Our bodies are also largely made up of water, which picks up on the vibration. Through this so-called resonance, we feel the vibration throughout our entire body. This is said to have a positive effect on your physical and mental health.

The singing bowl originates from the Tibetan Buddhist regions around the Himalayas. There are various theories about its origins, but what is certain is that the singing bowl has become an important part of Buddhism throughout Asia. When the Tibetan singing bowl is sounded, the Buddhist monks know that prayer is about to begin. Every meditation session also ends with the sound of the bowl.

According to experts, the sound of a singing bowl always contains the three sounds of the soul, namely Ohm, Om or Aum. This sound is also often chanted as a mantra during meditation or yoga.
