Angeliite is a form of blue anhydrite found in Peru. The stone was discovered relatively recently, in 1987. The name anhydrite comes from the Greek ‘anhydras’, meaning ‘without water’. This refers to the fact that angelite is a form of gypsum. All hydration has been completely lost, making it a stone without water. The stone can also absolutely not water-resistant!
The stone has a beautiful light blue colour with a white exterior. Blue angelite crystals have also been found. The Angelite is available in various product types.
