Fired Citrine is not natural Citrine, but is created by heating Amethyst. This process transforms the purple colour into warm yellow to orange hues. This form of Citrine is widely produced in countries such as Brazil, where Amethyst is found in large quantities. Although it is not natural Citrine, the stone retains powerful energetic properties. The name continues to refer to “Citrine”, derived from the French lemon, because of the sunny colour it takes on when heated.
