The name "Nephrite" comes from the Greek word nephros, which means “kidney”. This is due to the stone’s purifying properties and the fact that it was traditionally used to help with kidney and bladder problems. Jade has been known for thousands of years as a stone of protection and prosperity, particularly in Chinese and Mesoamerican cultures.
Nephrite jade is found all over the world, with major deposits in countries including China, Canada, Russia, New Zealand and the United States. In many indigenous cultures, the stone is regarded as a sacred ally that supports the body and soul through healing, transition and spiritual growth.
General operation
Nephrite jade is a calming, protective stone that has been prized for centuries for its powerful, healing energy. It symbolises balance, wisdom and inner peace. This green stone helps to release tension and restores the body and mind to a state of harmony. It encourages you to slow down, practise acceptance and live from the heart.
The Nephrite Jade split bracelet has a powerful effect on the heart chakra and helps to balance emotions. It soothes feelings of fear, sadness and restlessness, and opens the way to love, trust and peace. At the same time, it provides inner strength and steadfastness: you remain true to yourself, even in difficult situations.
A nephrite jade beaded bracelet is also lovely to wear during meditation, healing or energy work. It helps you connect with a deeper sense of knowing and supports spiritual insights without making you feel detached. You remain firmly grounded, yet with a sense of gentleness.
This beautiful stone helps you experience what it is like to live a life of simplicity, inner peace and loving presence. It reminds you that you are safe within yourself, and that true strength comes from within.
