Pink moonstone is often found in India, Madagascar and Sri Lanka. The pink colour is caused by traces of minerals such as albite or orthoclase, which give the moonstone a soft, warm appearance. Sometimes the stone is completely uniform in colour, whilst at other times it has a beautiful sheen or a faint glow that shifts as the light moves.
