Our colleague Joyce owns no fewer than four horses and, as well as her job at De Groene Linde, also works as horse coach together with her herd. She regularly shares lovely stories with us about using essential oils on animals – her horses, to be precise – and we’d love to share these with you. That’s why we’ve published this guest blog by Joyce on how she uses the products. We hope this won’t be the only blog of its kind 😉.
Essential oils and safety
Generally speaking, the use of essential oils on animals is safe for dogs, horses and other large livestock. However, not every oil is suitable. That is why we have developed a range of scents especially for our four-legged friends, covering a variety of themes.
Please note regarding cats: it is not safe to use essential oils directly. You can, however, use a diffuser in a room where cats are present, provided the cat is able to walk away if the scent becomes too strong. Use never essential oil on a cat’s coat. This is because cats’ livers cannot break down the naturally occurring chemicals.
It is true, however, that the scent’s frequency works through the bottle. By making use of this, you can safely use any scent frequency with your four-legged friend. It doesn’t matter whether you choose the special pet range or a different frequency. For example, place the bottle under your dog’s bed or put it in the stable with your horse. You can also use essential oils safely with cats in this way.
Especially for our four-legged friends, Bella’s Cure
Bella’s Cure consists of scent frequencies that can be used to provide animals with energetic support using 100% naturally pure oils. This fragrance range features themes such as Confidence, Trauma-Free and Pet Relax. These themes address the most common questions regarding problems in animals. The essential oils used are not harmful to animals. The scent frequencies are available exclusively as essential oils. You can pour the oil into a diffuser Drip it in, top it up with water and place it in the room where the animal is. The scent will then spread through the air. Animals have a larger and more sensitive energy field than humans, which means they pick up the vibration effortlessly.
Energy healing for animals
A lovely way to use essential oil is to rub a few drops onto your hands. Rub your hands together so that the oil is evenly distributed, then stroke the animal: start at the neck just behind the ears, move across the shoulder along the back (slightly to the side of the spine), towards the hindquarters and then down the back of the legs to the soles of the feet.
Are you working on a specific issue? If so, you can also apply the oil to the area where the trauma is located or where the corresponding meridian runs. This can help release the blockage and allow the energy to flow again. However, this should be carried out by a qualified practitioner.
Light frequencies and animals
Another product that’s great for use with animals is the Light frequencies. These are imbued with scent frequencies, crystals and codes, creating energetically charged water. Light frequencies operate at an energetic level and have an effect on both humans and animals.
For young or sensitive animals, you can simply place the bottle in the room; the vibrations work right through the glass. Sometimes that is enough on its own. You can enhance this by actually administering the remedy.
For dogs, add a spray to their water bowl. This ensures it comes into direct contact with the mucous membrane and works quickly. For horses, you can spray the Light Frequency onto a piece of carrot or bread and feed it to them straight away.
Crystals and animals
As well as oils and remedies, we often recommend the use of crystals. The Golden Triangle, consisting of amethyst, rock crystal and rose quartz, can, for example, be placed in your pet’s water bowl. This combination ensures an optimal flow of energy, which is transmitted through the water. The crystals bring peace, balance and relaxation.
You can also create a health pendant attach it to the halter, harness, collar or in the stable, so that it is always within the animal’s energy field. You can also place a remedy or oil blend in a frequency hanger Attach it to the halter or the mane so that the animal is supported at all times.
How to make the right choice
There are so many products… how do you choose the right one? You can always work with the energy field. Tune in, and test with a pendulum or biotensor. Ask whether a particular oil is suitable for your pet. Sometimes you already have an intuitive sense of what’s going on and can base your choice on that. A real-life story
My mini Shetland pony, Petra, came to live with us at The Happy Ranch at the end of 2024. Little was known about her, apart from the fact that she is 20 years old and had been living with her sister, Toos, for a long time.
Over time, I noticed that she didn’t like it when I approached her from behind, for example to brush her tail or fasten her girth. She would turn away, snap or even try to kick. After our last move, this behaviour got worse, even though she seemed to be feeling better. You often see this: when animals feel safe, they dare to show their trauma.
Using the biotensor, I arrived at the theme Sexual trauma from the Existence line and the remedy Healing. I kept the bottle closed and sat down beside her, with one hand on her chest and the other on her hip.
The lovely thing about animals is that you can see the relief straight away. At first she looked at me in surprise, but soon she was standing by the fence, waiting, and whinnying as if she was ready. She started yawning as soon as I sat down next to her.
I gave her drops of the … twice a day Healing-remedy. I can now gently touch her hind legs, brush her tail and fasten her girth, without her panicking. The treatments have really helped her. She’s much more at ease and has swapped biting for kisses.
