Oh, it’s just so lovely to be relaxed! But unfortunately, it’s not always that easy!
Life can get so hectic every now and then, can’t it… How do you actually switch into ‘relax’ mode? Here at De Groene Linde, we too sometimes find it tricky to create a sense of harmony, even though we have a rather harmonious job 😉 That’s why we’d love to take you on a journey in this blog, packed with information on how you can find a bit of Zen with the help of our products.
Before writing this blog, I popped round to my colleagues to ask how on earth they manage to relax a bit during such hectic times! What do you need to carve out that moment for yourself, and why don’t you do this more often? I’ll go ahead and give you the answer to that last question myself… Guilt… In the time I spend lying on my yoga mat in a relaxed pose, I could have emptied the dishwasher, vacuumed the house or prepared dinner for the evening. But a moment to yourself really doesn’t have to last for hours. Just 20 minutes on a mat, relaxing a little, or having a lovely warm bath does so much for you! You’ll also find that when you do this regularly, you’ll have much more energy to tackle the other tasks waiting for you – and you’ll do them with a smile.
You may have read something about it before: vibration. Vibration is all around us. Our energy body also has a vibration, also known as a frequency. There’s a lovely blog online about how stones work and frequency. You might enjoy reading it worth a read if this information is completely new to you.
If you notice that your energy isn’t flowing properly – perhaps you even feel a blockage – you can use vibration to get the energy flowing again. There are various ways to do this.

The tuning forks These are frequencies, but expressed through sounds and tones. Tuning forks can be used to alleviate pain in joints and muscles, blockages in organs, headaches and migraines. They can also be used on an energetic level. Think, for example, of balancing and clearing blockages in the chakra system or refreshing the aura.
You work with the tuning forks directly on the body, but you can also pass the tuning fork through your aura once you have struck it. Place the struck tuning fork with its base on your aching joints or muscles, or on the spot where you feel an energy blockage, to relieve the pain and allow the energy to flow freely again.
Tuning forks come in a variety of pitches. So which one should you choose? We certainly stock the pitches corresponding to the chakras in our range, and these are, of course, an excellent choice if you know that energy isn’t flowing quite as it should in a particular chakra. Personally, I find the Mr Toon It’s really lovely. This is the all-purpose tone and is for general use. So it’s brilliant to use this tone to refresh your aura or to apply it to sore spots every now and then.
Booking a massage was actually the answer I heard from many colleagues when I asked them: how do you relax? Just treating yourself to it every now and then. Of course, you don’t have to go to the masseur every month, but a few times a year would be lovely. But… we also have some really lovely ready-made massage oils in our range! So if you have a partner, give them a loving look and ask them if they could give you a quick massage. Showing each other this kind of attention is also good for your relationship, so that’s an added bonus 😉 And who knows, you might get a taste for it and make it a regular thing to treat each other to this bit of relaxation! The massage oil Relaxation It’s a joy to use.
But the scent frequencies are, of course, the easiest to use! You can enjoy spraying them around you as an aura spray, or use the essential oil in a diffuser or oil burner to create a lovely, relaxing atmosphere in your home.
There’s no accounting for taste, and certainly not when it comes to scent 😉 Here are a few of the team’s favourites that we use all the time to relax!

𝚁𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚒𝚗 𝚓𝚎 𝙷𝚘𝚘𝚏𝚍 This lovely roller is a must-have in your bag. Whenever you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed, roll the fragrance onto your wrists and the nape of your neck. It’s also lovely to roll it onto your hands and rub them together to warm it up. Then cup your hands around your nose and mouth and take a few deep breaths in and out.
𝚃𝚞𝚛𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚒𝚜 This scent has a calming effect and helps feelings of restlessness and anxiety fade into the background. The scent helps you realise that you’re fine just as you are. And that brings peace of mind!
𝚂𝚒𝚕𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚎 The fragrance from our Burn Out range that promotes inner calm. Not just for use when you’re burnt out, but also simply a lovely way to calm your racing thoughts.
𝚁𝚎𝚕𝚊𝚡 & 𝙲𝚘𝚣𝚢 Perfect for the home! This fragrance is lovely to use in a diffuser or little burner in the living room. Everyone in the house is instantly in Zen mode!
Are you really not sure what to choose? Then we’ll make it a bit easier for you! A themed bag with a range of different scents (not the ones I’ve mentioned above) for you to try out. The bag contains 5 small 10 ml sprays with 5 different scents from the ‘Relax’ range. This is a fun way for you to find out which spray suits you best!
It’s also really lovely to place crystals around the house to create a positive atmosphere. Personally, I like having large pieces on display in my home. For example, in my living room I have a ‘Golden Triangle’ made up of three large stones. They’re arranged in the shape of a triangle across the room. The Golden Triangle consists of the Amethyst, Rock crystal and Rose quartz. These three stones in the living room bring harmony to the home, which in turn creates a relaxed atmosphere!

Of course, it’s also really lovely to carry a stone with you to help you take a more relaxed approach to life. Snowflake Obsidian is a gentle type of obsidian that promotes inner calm and peace, and brings balance to body, mind and soul. It helps you come to terms with traumatic experiences and provides insight. As you work through old traumas, you’ll also notice that you feel more at peace. That’s why this is such a lovely stone to use.
But also a Green Aventurine, Moss agate, Amethyst, Blue Quartz, Amazonite, Turquoise and a Tiger's Eye can help you relax. These stones, for example, have a grounding, calming effect and offer energetic protection against the disruption caused by radiation. Wear a small stone against your skin so that its frequency is close to you.
As well as these tips, we have a few more general tips for you to help you find more peace of mind.
🌸 𝙻𝚎𝚎𝚏 𝚒𝚗 𝚑𝚎𝚝 𝙷𝚒𝚎𝚛 & 𝙽𝚞 Try to focus on what is, not yesterday, not tomorrow, but today. The Now is the only moment that exists. If you find this difficult, I find the scent frequency very helpful The Power of Now. If you’d like to read more about living in the present moment, I’d highly recommend Eckhart Tolle’s book *The Power of Now*. This book has completely changed my life.
🌸 𝚂𝚝𝚘𝚙 𝚖𝚎𝚝 𝚑𝚎𝚝 𝚠𝚘𝚘𝚛𝚍𝚓𝚎 ‘𝚖𝚘𝚎𝚝𝚎𝚗’ Constantly imposing all sorts of things on yourself really won’t make you any calmer! Try using the word ‘want’ instead of ‘must’. It’ll immediately feel a lot calmer.
🌸 𝙰𝚍𝚎𝚖𝚑𝚊𝚕𝚎𝚗 Try a breathing exercise when it all gets a bit too much for you. Sit or lie down and place one hand on your lower abdomen and the other on your heart. Now breathe calmly into your lower abdomen and try to focus your full attention on this. By placing your hands on your body in this way, you’re also connecting your heart with your lower abdomen. This creates a sense of relaxation. It’s lovely to do this exercise when you can’t sleep.
🌸 𝙱𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚎𝚐 If you find it hard to let things go, go and do something active! Go for a workout, go for a walk, sing, dance… It doesn’t matter what, as long as you focus your attention on the activity and throw yourself into it.
🌸 𝙼𝚎𝚍𝚒𝚝𝚎𝚎𝚛 Try meditating every day. Even if it’s just for 5 minutes. If you do it every day, it’ll get easier and easier. Do you find it hard to stay focused and not get distracted by all the ‘to-do’ lists in your head? Why not try a meditation app or a guided meditation on YouTube?.
