Description
Tummy Relax is a gentle massage oil that you can use when your baby’s tummy is playing up. You’ll often notice this straight away: your little one cries loudly, kicks their legs or seems restless. Especially in the first few weeks, their tummy has to work hard. The tummy can also sometimes cause discomfort during the transition from breast or bottle feeding to solid foods. Tummy Relax helps your baby to relax gently and soothe their tummy.
The massage oil has been specially developed for young babies and is safe to use from day one. Only a very small amount of essential oil has been added to the gentle base oil, making the product suitable for the very youngest babies. For parents who feel a bit apprehensive about using essential oils on their baby, there is the extra-mild Konijntje Zacht base oil, ideal for gently softening the tummy.
Tummy Relax contains a combination of sesame oil KP, chamomile macerate, lavender and Chamomile Rooms 10%. These ingredients are known for their soothing, calming and relaxing effects. The oil supports the natural movement of the bowels and helps your baby feel calmer and more comfortable.
For children aged 2 and over, there is a more concentrated version Mouse's belly, specially formulated for older children. Tips for use
- Massage oil: Massage the tummy using a small amount of oil. Use clockwise circular movements. You can also include the lower back and thighs. It’s lovely to massage the feet as well. Don’t use too much massage oil – just enough so that your hands glide easily over the skin. You can use this massage oil up to twice a day.
- Heat Wrap: Fill a hot water bottle with warm (no hotter than 50 degrees) water. Sprinkle a little massage oil onto a small piece of cloth. Make sure the cloth is actually quite oily. Place the cloth in a plastic bag and warm it with the hot water bottle. Warm a muslin nappy by wrapping it around the hot water bottle as well. Leave this to warm up for about 10 minutes. Then place the cloth on the baby’s bare tummy and wrap the warm cloth around it. Leave it to sit for a while until the muslin nappy has cooled down.

It’s important to be aware of the precautions when using essential oils with little ones. Especially with young children, we always say: ‘LESS IS MORE!’ Follow the guidelines below to ensure you use these little wonders of nature safely.
