As you can see in the first blog As you may have read about the chakras, they are spinning ‘wheels’ of energy within our energetic body. When these chakras are in harmony, you feel at ease with yourself, you move effortlessly with the flow of life and you stand firmly on your own two feet. In addition, we’ll of course be sharing practical tips that you can put into practice straight away to support your chakras and restore balance.

✽ 𝙷𝚎𝚒𝚕𝚒𝚐𝚋𝚎𝚎𝚗 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚔𝚛𝚊 – Colour: Orange – Located in the lower abdomen
In Sanskrit, this chakra is called Svadhisthana called. This name is derived from two Sanskrit words: Swa (one’s own) and Adhisthana (place of residence or registered office). Svadhisthana It therefore literally means ‘one’s own abode’. In Sanskrit, the word ‘swad’ also means ‘to enjoy’, which ties in nicely with the meaning of this chakra.
The sacral chakra represents emotions, creativity, sexuality and the joy of life. Whilst the first chakra is about grounding and stability, this chakra is all about flow, feeling and letting go. It is closely linked to feelings of joy, sensuality, desires and pleasure.
This chakra is linked to the gonads, reproductive organs, sacrum, pelvic region, uterus, kidneys, bladder, circulatory system and the body’s fluid balance.
⊕ A well-functioning sacral chakra indicates a healthy relationship with emotions and sexuality. You feel full of vitality, lively and sensual. You do not suppress your feelings, but dare to express them. You also experience a zest for life, self-confidence and a natural attraction to others. Creativity and spontaneity can also flow freely.
⊖ An imbalanced sacral chakra is often linked to unresolved emotional experiences from the past. Physically, this can manifest as lower back pain, kidney or bladder problems, joint problems, anaemia or an imbalance in blood sugar levels.
Energy flows less freely, which can lead to feelings of listlessness, emotional numbness or physical stiffness. You have little desire to move or to feel. Sexuality can be fraught with shame, anxiety or avoidance.
An overactive chakra manifests itself precisely as an excess of sexual energy, which can lead to sexual obsession, addictions or dependent behaviour.
Get your pelvic area moving! You can do this through yoga poses, dancing and swimming in natural waters.
Start the day with a visualisation.
Sit or lie down, close your eyes and focus your attention on your lower abdomen, just below your navel.
Imagine an orange, pulsating sphere of light that slowly begins to spin.
Imagine that this sphere is spreading warm, flowing water through your lower abdomen and hip area.
Gently repeat an affirmation, such as:
“I allow myself to feel, to enjoy myself and to be free.”
Say or write affirmations that resonate with this chakra:
Use crystals that support the chakra. Wear them as pendant or save a cuddle stone in your trouser pocket. Good stones for the sacral chakra are:
Carnelian, Citrine, Orange Calcite, Moonstone, Amber
Use scents that support the sacral chakra. Think of the Sacral Chakra fragrance frequency or the single essential oils Orange, Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood, Patchouli, or Roos, all of which are sensual and relaxing. Mix the essential oil with a carrier oil and use it to massage the lower abdomen.
Each chakra is associated with a specific colour; for the Sacral Chakra, this is orange. This colour symbolises vitality, energy, joy, passion and fervour. It also represents sensuality and sexuality. If you notice that the energy in this chakra isn’t flowing properly, you can consciously use this colour:
